Shopian: With strict adherence to Covid-19 SOPs, the District Administration Shopian Monday organized an awareness cum assessment camp at Wachi here.
The Camp was organised for Implementation of various self-employment schemes under implementation in the district and finalized a comprehensive youth engagement plan of line departments.
During the camp, the speakers threw light on various self-employment avenues available under different government sponsored self-employment schemes, the procedure adopted for coverage of skilled and semi-skilled youth and targets vis-à-vis achievements during financial year.
The officers of all line departments, chalked out a detailed schedule for carrying out joint awareness cum assessment camps throughout the district. Besides teams are also identifying the local potential which can be explored for engagement of youth.
Earlier, the District Development Commissioner has instructed the line departments for better interdepartmental coordination to include only the genuine and deserving youth for sponsorship. He exhorted the teams to visit each panchayat/village in the district, involve public representatives and senior citizens to identify the youth for sponsorship.
