G’bal: The Cultural Wing of Department of Information and Public Relations Thursday organized a theme based cultural programme on Covid-19 Dos’s & Don’ts and Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav (India@75) celebration at Town Hall here.
Executive Engineer Ganderbal, Naveed Ajaz was the chief guest and District Information Officer Ganderbal, Riyaz Ahmad Fazili was Guest of Honor on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering, the District Information Officer said that the objective of the programme was to generate awareness among the masses regarding protection against Covid-19 pandemic.
The Executive Officer while speaking on the occasion appreciated the efforts of the Information Department for creating awareness on Covid pandemic through the medium of cultural programs and also complemented the artists who presented theme based scintillating cultural programme that mesmerized the audience on the occasion.
While highlighting the significance of the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav event, the District Information Officer said that the main aim is to celebrate the country’s glory and progress which it achieved in 75 years.
The Artists who participated in the cultural program include Ather Hussain Balpuri, Gh Mohidin Khanday, Gh. Mohd Bhat, Feroz Ahmad Shah, Manzoor Ahmad, Farooq Ahmad Rather. All the artists were highly appreciated by the audience with a round of applause.
During the programme, a series of diverse and colorful cultural items featuring songs on Patriotism and Covid-19 awareness were presented by the artists of the cultural unit of the department.
Among others, staff members of the Municipal Council Ganderbal, locals including Social activists and media persons were present on the occasion.
