City Municipal Comr visits city areas, oversees implementation of covid lockdown & SOPs

Srinagar /April, 30b: Amid Covid lockdown the Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation , Athar Amir Khan on Friday visited several areas of Srinagar city, to review the implementation of SoPs and other covid19 guidelines.

Talking to reporters , Athar Aamir Khan said that lockdown has been imposed to reduce the intensity of the current wave of surge in covid cases. He said “I with my other officials went to different locations of Srinagar city to review the ground situation and ensure that people are following the SoPs and other government guidelines in letter and sprit.
He expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation shown by the shopkeepers and other vendors in implementation of covid lockdown and Covid appropriate behaviour Saying that “If we continue to do it, we will successfully break the increasing chain of the second strain of covid-19 pandemic “.
Advising people to get vaccinated at the earliest the city municipal commissioner said “we all have to work together to fight the pandemic” .

Saying that since the frequency of the public movement is very high in Srinagar, the city is recording more cases, Athar said “all the health arrangements, are in place to tackle the situation. Let the people strictly follow the SoPs, wear masks, maintain social distancing and also follow other government guidelines”.
