Srinagar/April,29 : Parveez Ahmad Qadri Deputy Mayor, Srinagar on Thursday along with several Corporators of SMC, Chief Anti Encroachment Officer, SMC and Anti Encroachment squad of SMC conducted an special anti encroachment drive at Jehangir Chowk, Lal Chowk Maharaj Bazar Goni Khan and its adjoining areas. Several encroachments were removed on spot which were creating inconvenience in pedestrian movement and also hindering free vehicular traffic.
The Deputy Mayor, Srinagar also stressed upon people and shopkeepers to maintain social distancing and follow SOP’s strictly as per instructions of Divisional/District Administration. He also gave on spot directions to Chief Anti Encroachment Officer, SMC to utilize the services of his sub-ordinate squad and remove all the /encroachments done by the shopkeepers causing inconvenience in pedestrian movement and free flow of vehicular traffic.
