B’pora: Covid warriors put their lives at risk to save others, played key role in controlling spread of Corona virus.

The commitment and dedication of the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff during the outbreak of COVID-19 is highly appreciable. They are doing their job round-the-clock even without having sufficient personal protective equipment.
“They are doing their duty not only by putting their lives at risk but also their family members,”.

When infectious disease outbreaks strike, health facilities acquire labels such as healthcare professionals become “heroes” on the “front line.”

Almost as soon as the COVID-19 pandemic emerged, a narrative about healthcare “heroes” appeared in the popular media. According to this narrative, healthcare workers (HCWs) are marching to the “frontline” in the “war” against the virus and, in doing so, are putting themselves at considerable risk.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, worldwide healthcare systems have been severely challenged. The rapid and explosive surge of positive cases has significantly increased the demand for medical care.

Lets meet Dr Fayaz Ahmad of Bandipora, who is supervising all covid related activities and posted in Block control room at Block Medical office Bandipora.

Hailing from Chitteybandy area of Bandipora district, Dr Fayaz set an example in the entire erstwhile state and become role model for younger generation-influenced and inspire many others.

During lockdown and subsequent fight against COVID, he has been on front performing every duty with dedication he has performed his duties religiously.
As the covid cases started surging in Bandipora district and became first red zone district of J&k, he was dealing with Contact tracing, constitution of village wise surveillance committees, referral of symptomatic persons, Consolidation of home quarantine persons.

Netizens appreciated the efforts of doctors in fighting against the pandemic of Corona Virus, Covid -19 in Bandipora district.
Locals hailed the role of all employees who have made it possible to control covid crisis in such difficult situation.
Nitizens saluted all these brave warriors who have put their lives at risk to save the precious lives of Bandipora residents.
On one hand whole world in general and Central Govt and Jammu & Kashmir Government in particular are working days and nights to control the spread of corona virus and on the other hand these warriors are performing their duties with great zeal and zest in Hospitals, Quarantine Centres, and other places to save human life.
Dr Fayaz Ahmad said, “they are doing this for the society because this virus spares none and God forbid if this virus spreads it will be a disaster for the Kashmir valley”. “Even the countries with best health care facilities were brought on their knees by this deadly virus.”
The health care system is not up to the mark as in developed countries so its the responsibility of every citizen of the valley to play their part to combat this deadly virus. “We are doing our part and we urge the residents to do theirs as well by staying at home,” he added.
Locals said that it is moral responsibility of everyone of us to Support Administration at all levels and to abide by the advisories and Precautionary methods issued by Administration and Health department.
“We have to support poor people and those who are in need of food, clothes, medicines and other things in these difficult times,” said president traders federation Bandipora.
He appreciated the role played by volunteers who are working days and nights in services of common people and patients. There should be much more appreciation for those who are working tirelessly for our safety in this Pandemic especially medicos (Doctors, Nurses, MPHWs and other staff members), Nodal Officers, Magistrates, Municipal committee officials and other officials on duty. In addition to this, much more gratitude to all those who are working for different NGO’s whether social or religious for providing medicine, food and other daily use items among needy and deserving and also admiration for those who have helped the stranded passengers to return their homes in such difficult times. Let’s support all of them by encouraging their services added citizens
