Awareness/ training prog on promotion, scientific cultivation of Mushkbudgi Rice held at B’pora

Bandipora: An awareness cum training programme on promotion and popularization of Heritage Rice- Mushkbudgi was Wednesday held at KVK Bandipora here.
The programme was conceived by Division of Agronomy FOA Wadura under the aegis of NICRA project.
A total of 25 progressive farmers of different villages of Bandipora participated after following all Covid-19 SOPs.
On the occasion Head, Division of Agronomy FOA Wadura Prof. Mohammad Anwar gave a brief overview regarding the importance and revival of heritage land races of Rice including Mushkbudgi. He informed that promotion and popularization of Mushkbudgi shall be taken up with all the technical assistance to the interested farmers.
Principal Investigator Dr. Sheeraz Mehdi, Dr. F.A Bahar Associate Professor, Incharge Programme Coordinator KVK Bandipora Dr. Tariq Sultan also spoke on the occasion.
The programme witnessed active participation by scientist of KVK including Dr. Tahir Saleem, Dr. H.A. Malik and Dr. Nazir Ahmad.
