Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) is the lead agency for implementing eNAM under the aegis of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India. The scheme is being promoted under leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Navin Chowdhury Principal Secretary to J&K Government Agriculture and Horticulture department to promote uniformity in agriculture marketing by streamlining of procedures across the integrated markets, removing information asymmetry between buyers and sellers and promoting real time price discovery based on actual demand and supply.

The Director informed that presently two Terminal Fruit and Vegetables Markets i.e., Narwal Jammu and Parimpora in Kashmir have been provided with the E-NAM platform and shortly 13 more Mandis in J&K shall also be equipped with the E-NAM platform so as to empower farmers/ growers of J&K fully.

Yogin Sharma, co-ordinator for implementation of E-NAM in J&K replied to queries raised by the departmental officers. The department has launched a vigorous campaign in the field to register farmers/ growers of J&K so as to enable them to get benefits of the E-NAM platform.
