Bandipora /April,29 : Authorities on wednesday sealed 02 shops for violation of guidelines to contain spread of COVID-19.

An official told ” Kashmir Horizon”  no use of masks at public places and violation of social distancing norms was noticed at public places . Shopkeepers who had opened their shops against roaster were also fined.The official said the district administration has deputed executive magistrates in several parts of Bandipora for monitoring compliance to COVID-19 safety guidelines and taking action under law against violators within their territorial jurisdictions.Municipal authorities and Bandipora police sealed 02 shops for non-compliance to the Standard Operating Procedure.
A team of officials including SHO Bandipora and MC officials visited the main market and found two shops operating without following COVID-19 protocol.
The official said different teams from district administration were keeping vigil in the markets. “Several violators were warned earlier and asked to adhere to safety measures against spread of virus. Today, action under law was taken,” said another official.

The officials sealed the shops besides Station House officer Bandipora Mir Showket requested all the shopkeepers besides people visiting the market to adhere to the SOPs like use of facemasks, physical distancing and use of sanitisers to stop the chain of COVID-19 virus.
