Srinagar/ April, 28: Expressing grave concern over the unprecedented surge in Covid positive cases, Chairman People’s Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Wednesday urged the administration to revitalize all it’s men and machinery to check further spread of the dreaded infection. He said dire need of the hour was to set up dedicated Covid hospitals in rural areas along with various Cities and towns of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hakeem urged the Government to mobilise all available resources to check spread of Covid-19 virus adding that dedicated Covid infection treatment centers should be set up in rural areas also.
“Setting up of dedicated Covid treatment centers in rural areas , besides providing treatment to the needy patients, would also help to lessen burden and stress of growing number of Covid positive patients on city hospitals and medical staff posted there . He impressed upon officers of the Civil administration to closely supervise and monitor implementation of various Covid preventive measures , in place on the ground instead of keeping concerned officers and health experts un- necessary busy in daily review meetings.
PDF Chairman urged administration to scale up Covid vaccination drive and Covid testing in nook and 🌽corner of Jammu and Kashmir to contain spread of Coronovirus effectively . He also appealed religious preachers and various masjid committees to provide every possible support to the front line workers, doctors and paramedical staff who are tirelessly fighting to eradicate the pandemic . He has appealed to the affluent class of the society and masjid committees to help in making oxygen and medicines available to the needy patients especially in their respective areas.
