DC Kupwara reviews implementation of Covid guidelines, inspects Control Room, Logistic Store at SDH Kupwara

Kupwara: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din Tuesday visited Sub District Hospital Kupwara and inspected the functioning of District Covid Control Room, Logistic Store of Covid Vaccine and Immunization section. He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kauser Amin.
While taking stock of Covid Control Room, the Deputy Commissioner was informed that the Covid Control Room is functional round the clock. He was informed that presently the bed capacity for Covid patients in the district is 300 out of which 117 are oxygen supported. He was also informed that the number of positive cases is 661 out of which 573 are in home isolation. While as, eight patients have been hospitalised for treatment.
Regarding home isolation, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned for maintenance of the register for the persons in home isolation so that they can be easily contacted for necessary advice and medical care.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner himself talked to persons in home isolation on phone and enquired about them from medical experts attending them.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed the CMO for identification of proper places for augmentation of beds for Covid patients.
The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the Logistic Store and Immunization section of the hospital.
