DC B’pora takes stock of implementation of COVID19 guidelines in market

Bandipora: Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad on Monday visited various markets of Bandipora town to inspect the implementations of SOPs/guidelines to combat the 2nd wave of Covid-19.
Tehsildar Bandipora Mubashir Saleem Nazki, Chief Executive Officer Municipal Council Wadli Mohammad, President Traders Federation Bandipora Shamshaad Ahmad and other officers were present on the occasion.
Dr Owais inspected Nowpora Market, Gulshan Chowk, Khadim Market, Gousia Market and Jamia Qadeem Market. The inspection was carried out to take stock of implementation of various COVID-19 related advisories and guidelines including use of face masks, social distancing and rotational opening of business establishments.
During the visit, DC Bandipora interacted with the traders and asked them to exhibit compliance to the government directions for larger public safety and health. He appealed to traders to strictly follow Covid SOPs, guidelines and precautions so that the covid-19 infection rate may be significantly reduced.
Dr Owais directed the concerned officers to monitor adherence to SOPs by service providers and called for strict legal action against the violators of SOPs for larger public safety and urged the magisterial and police authorities to ensure the same.
