2 militant associates held in Baramulla, 2 grenades recovered : Police

Baramulla: Police on Monday that it has arrested two militant associates of Hizb Ul Mujahideen (HM) outfit and recovered incriminating materials and two chinese grenades from their possession.
A police statement issued on Monday said “acting on a specific input, Baramulla Police have arrested two militants associates of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit at Boniyar Baramulla identified as Liyaqat Ahmad Kakroo son of Showkat Ahmad resident of Nambla Uri and Akhtar Ahmad Mir son of Hafizullah Mir resident of Barmnate Boniyar A/P Trikanjan Boniyar.
Claiming the recovery of incriminating materials and 2 Chinese grenades from their possession, police in it’s above referred statement said “during the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that both the arrested militants associates were involved in trading, smuggling and arranging of arms and ammunition for the militant outfit”, adding that “a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Boniyar and further investigation is in progress”.
