Srinagar: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar is going to organize Short Term Course entitled “Journey from Semiconductor Physics to Smart Devices to Intelligent automation” for postgraduate students from 1st to 5th May 2021.
As per the official Press Release issued on Friday many renowned scientists and internationally acclaimed speakers will deliver talks in the relevant fields. In addition five researchers from national Institutes and other prominent Central universities would also be participating in the course. A special industry session is also being organized.
Students, Scholars, Scientists and Engineers with a passion for quantitative research will find the program extremely useful. Research scholars and faculty members are also encouraged to apply. The course is intended to equip students interested in electronic materials and devices with fundamentals of semiconductor devices.
The course is aimed at special emphasis on the role of semiconductor technologies in day to day life. The 20th century was a period of remarkable fundamental and technological progress in Semiconductor Physics. Years and often decades later, these advances led in turn to the invention of devices that now form the basis of much of our technological society, including the transistor, the integrated circuit, the laser, magnetic resonance imaging, liquid-crystal displays, and more recently, high-efficiency solid-state lighting.
The five day Short Term Course (STC) has a strong technical program will cover topics of current interest including Opto-electronics, Photovoltaics, Sensors, VLSI technologies, Display Technologies, 2D materials & Semiconductors for Quantum Computing
