Shopian: Commissioner Secretary, Jal Shakti Department, M. Raju, Thursday reviewed implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission besides assessing progress on PHE projects in Shopian district.
District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Chief Engineer Jal Shakti Department, PHE, Kashmir besides other senior officers were present on the occasion.
Commissioner Secretary impressed upon the Jal Shakti Department to step up efforts and gear up their men and machinery for providing 100 per cent Functional House Tap Connections (FHTCs) to all the consumers of the district by August 2021.
Raju said that the government is committed to provide piped water to all households under Jal Jeevan Mission. He urged upon the concerned to step up their efforts and expedite Aadhaar seeding to new and existing water connections to achieve the set targets.
