Pulwama: Adherence to SOPs is the effective mechanism to fight Corona Virus stated, District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary while speaking to a huge gathering of people at town hall Tral .
DDC Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary redressed hundreds of grievances on spot during a daylong programme at Subdivision Tral.
He was also accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral, Tehsildar Tral, BDO Tral and all District Officers.
On the occasion , DDC said Block Divas is a regular feature now and appealed to people to become active participants so that the issues of daily importance are redressed in the minimum possible time.
He urged upon officers to complete the works within the shortest possible time.
He appealed to people to register for COVID vaccination and be the agents in mitigation of COVID pandemic. He said vaccination is open to people of age group of above 45 and those with specified Comorbidities. He added that all residents of above 18 can undergo vaccination from the month of May.
He also directed the concerned Officers to be proactive and remain accessible to the people so that the purpose of the initiative is fulfilled . He added that an Electoral Photo Identity Card ( EPIC) counter has been introduced in the Block Diwas and issues related to electoral registration shall be redressed besides counters for registration under JK – Sehat Scheme have also been established.He added that registration Counter and help desks for COVID vaccination has been introduced in block Diwas at all designated locations in Pulwama. During the Public hearing various Delegations, Individuals, Deputations from Panchayats apprised the DDC about the issues pertaining to the different departments including Health ,Education, Horticulture, Agriculture, Jal Sakti, RDD, R&B, Power Deptt, Social Welfare, ICDS and other sectors.
The delegations also raised the issues regarding the provision of various services like revenue extracts, domicile certificates, caste certificates, dependency certificates, registration for various individual benefit schemes including social Security schemes for Old age pensions, handicap pensions, scholarships and submitted memorandum of demands pertaining to their respective Panchayat Halqas.
Block Divas was also held in block Pulwama and Pampore where detailed discussion was held regarding different development projects besides issues being faced by the common masses of different panchayats, where designated officers including ADC Pulwama and ADC Awantipora besides other district and sectoral officers listened the demands and issues of the people.
On the occasion, many grievances were solved on the spot and rest were forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt redress through an established tracking system.
The ADC and other designated officers at various blocks gave patient hearing and assured timely redressal of the genuine grievances, whereas on spot directions were also passed for the redressal of the genuine demands raised by the people.
Moreover, the departmental functionaries also visited their respective jurisdictions to listen to the grievances of the general public, and held awareness Programmes to highlight the individual beneficiary schemes.
It is worthwhile to mention that town hall Pulwama is the designated Venue of block Diwas for blocks Litter, Achgoza, Shadimarg, Newa and Kakapora whereas the town hall Pampore and town hall Tral have been designated as venues for blocks Pampore, Awantipora and Tral, Dadsara Aripal respectively.The location for block Divas for Tral block was changed from Tral to Satoora for reaching out to people living in far flung areas.
