SSP Budgam holds awareness meeting with Imams, religious leaders

Srinagar: Owing to the surge in Covid-19 cases, SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem held an interaction cum awareness meeting with the Imams & religious leaders of various Masajid of district Budgam at the Conference hall of District Police Headquarters Budgam.
The meeting was held while following social distancing norms and other protocols. The participants were briefed about the guidelines/SOPs issued by government in view of Covid-19 pandemic. The participants were requested to ensure that people at religious places maintain social distancing & follow guidelines/SOPs strictly to curb spread of COVID-19 pandemic during the holy month of Ramadhan. They were also advised to spread the awareness about Covid SOPs among the people during the sermons.
SSP Budgam stressed that awareness of the community and its involvement is paramount to tackle the Covid-19 situation in the district amid a surge in cases. He also stressed on them to spread awareness about the importance of Covid vaccination and all those eligible should get themselves vaccinated at an earliest.
