Bandipora-Gurez road closed after fresh snowfall

Bandipora: After fresh snowfall, the Bandipora-Gurez road has been again closed for traffic, officials told on friday.
The snowfall started thursday evening as predicted by the weatherman and it has carpeted the Razdan area. The ligh snowfall was witnessed in other hilly areas of this north Kashmir district too as the weather remains inclement in the plains.
An official of district administration said that, the Bandipora-Gurez road has been closed due to snowfall. The Gurez valley plains have received light snowfall also, officials said.
The Razdan Top, located at an elevation of near 12000ft, has received more than 05 inches of snow, according to the officials.
The Gurez road was thrown open for one way traffic just five days ago after hectic efforts.
Meanwhile the district administration appealled the passengers to contact below mentioned number for any query 7006526985 (District Control Room) 9596767430 (PCR), 9469800092 before traveling on road.
