12 vehicles , JCB involved in illegal mining seized in Jammu : Police

Jammu/ April 18: Police in Jammu on Sunday said that it has seized 12 vehicles and a JCB involved in illegal mining in Tawi river bed area of the winter capital.
A police statement issued on Sunday said ” Jammu police raided Tawi river-bed area and seized 12 different vehicles and JCB involved in illegal mining”, adding that ” following inputs about illegal mining in Tawi river bed area police teams of P/S Domana, P/S Kahnachak, PP Chinore, PP Pounichak, BPP Sandwan, BPP Gajansoo were constituted under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sh. Kousheen Koul”.
Police in it’s statement further said that the teams led by SHO P/S Domana Inspr.  Mahesh Sharma, SHO P/S Kahnachak Inspr. Vishav Partap Singh, I/C PP Chinore SI AK Choudary, I/C PP Pounichak SI Dilawer Kumar, I/C BPP Sandwan SI Pawan Kumar, I/C BPP Gajansoo SI Lalit Sharma raided Tawi river-bed area and seized 12 different vehicles and JCB involved in illegal mining.  The details of the vehicles seized, according to the police statement, are as under:

In the concluding para of it’s above referred statement police said “the mining was done in violation of order of Jammu & Kashmir High Court” , adding that b”in order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action”.
