Jammu/April, 17: Police in Jammu said on Saturday that it has rescued seven bovine animals in Khanachack area in Jammu.
A police statement issued on Saturday said “in an act of alertness, sensitivity and prompt action against bovine smuggling, Jammu Police has rescued 11 bovine animals at a special naka laid at Bathera” .
Stating that one vehicle bolero bearing Registration number JK02BC/4234 has also been seized, police in it’s statement further said “a Case FIR No. 53/2021 U/S 188 IPC 11 PCA ACT has been registered at P/S Kahnachak but the driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot taking advantage of the darkness” .
Police in it’s statement also said that rescue of bovine animals has been done under the supervision of SHO P/S Kahnachak Vishav Pratap Singh and further investigation of the case is going on.
In the concluding Para of it’s statement “District Police Jammu is striving hard and taking every possible step to curb the bovine smuggling menace. District Police Jammu is seeking support from the people to share information about bovine smuggling with police for timely intervention for the cause”.
