Jammu: Police in Jammu on Tuesday said that it recovered charas in Pacca Danga area and arrested one drug peddler.
A police statement issued on Tuesday said “Based on specific inputs regarding drug peddling, several nakas were laid at different locations by Jammu Police and such naka was led by SHO P/S Pacca Danga Inspr. Ajit Singh assisted by ASI Ashok Kumar at Pacci Dhakki Jammu where they rounded up a suspect namely Anshu Man @ Goga S/o Hans Raj R/o Pacci Dhakki Jammu”.
Stating that on search, 80 gms of Charas was recovered from the illegal possession of the accused , police in it’s statement said “On this, Case FIR No. 56/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Pacca Danga and accused got arrested. Further investigation of the case is going on”.
In the concluding para of it’s statement police said “Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace. We appeal people of the area to come forward and share information about drug peddling or consumption on 9086100100 or 100 with Police for the cause. The identity of the informer will be kept confidential”.
