Abdullahs, Mehbooba, Hakeem greet people on arrival of Holy month of Ramzan

Srinagar: National Conference (NC) Party President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah ,Vice President Omar Abdullah, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti and Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Tuesday greeted people on the onset of the holy month of Ramzan.
In his message, the Party president said that the holy month of Ramzan provides us with an opportunity to purge ourselves from spite and infractions. “The holy month, he said, offers us a plethora of spiritual benefits to reflect upon, it makes us self-aware, helps to strengthen our relation with the Quran, and helps us develop a stronger inclination to give and lend help,” he said in a statement issued on Tuesday.
“I pray that Almighty allows all of us to transform our lives throughout the breadth of the blessed month. I pray that Almighty accept our repentance and accepts our supplication,” he said adding, “I wish that the holy month acts as harbinger of peace, prosperity, and strengthens the traditional bonds of communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir. I pray that Almighty heralds healthy times in Jammu and Kashmir and salvages the entire humanity from the scourge of COVID-19. Last but not least I pray for fast recuperation to all those who are undergoing treatment for COVID-19.”
Party Vice President in his message said that the holy month of Ramzan affords us opportunities to think of those who go hungry, to change our lifestyle, to grow spiritually without retreating from our daily routine. The month he said inculcates patience, qualities of righteousness and endurance in us.
“I greet people on the very onset of the holy month and pray that the forthcoming month acts as harbinger of peace, prosperity, communal amity and brotherhood in Jammu and Kashmir and the country in general,” he said.
Meanwhile former chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday felicitated people of Jammu and Kashmir on the onset of the Holy Month of Ramadhan.
In her message on the occasion, the PDP president hoped the holy month heralds the beginning of an era of peace, prosperity and salvage humanity from the ravaging Covid-19 pandemic.
“I pray that this holy month brings along all the divine blessings for our state and its people”, Mehbooba prayed as per a statement issued on Tuesday.
Terming Ramadhan as a month of charity and compassion, Mehbooba appealed to the well to do sections of society to donate generously for the social causes during this month and added the holy month highlights the values of patience, self-restraint, tolerance and austerity, which promote feelings of compassion and respect for others.
“Please remember during this month the widows, orphans, destitute, infirm and those who are unable to fend for themselves and try to donate generously for the social causes”, she said in her appeal
In his message of greeting the Peoples Democratic Front Chairman Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen while greeting people on the eve of holly month of Ramadhan, has asked the people especially philanthropists to reach out to destitute , poor and needy ones of the society to mitigate thier sufferings. PDF Chairman prayed ” May the holly month bring peace and prosperity in jammu and kashmir.He has urged the government to ensure adequate availability of essential commodities and round the clock power and water supply to the people during the holly month. Hakeem asked the people to abide by the COVID-19 protocol and advisories from the health department to check spread of the pandemic.
