11 vehicles involved in illegal mining seized in Satwari Jammu : Police

Jammu/ April,14 : Police in Jammu on Wednesday said that it has seized 11 different vehicles involved in illegal mining seized by Police station Satwari Jammu
A police statement issued on Wednesday said “continuing its drive against illegal mining, massive action has been taken by police teams of P/S Satwari which were constituted under the supervision of SDPO South P K Mengi”, adding that “yhe team led by SHO P/S Satwari Inspr. Nishant Gupta assisted by I/C PP Chatha, I/C PP Gadigarh and I/C PP Phallain Mandal laid special nakas at various points and during checking 11 different vehicles were seized which were involved in illegal mining. The vehicles seized included 2 Tippers and 9 tractor trollies”.
According to the statement the details of the vehicles seized are as under:

“The mining was done in violation of order of Hon’ble High Court of J&k. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action”, reads the concluding para of the above referred police statement.
