Ganderbal:The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmed Baba Monday chaired a meeting of officers to review the arrangements for ensuing holy month of Ramadan.
At the outset, the ADC held threadbare discussions with the officers of various departments regarding the arrangements to be put in place for convenience of people. He asked all the departments to ensure adequate facilities are provided by their respective departments so that people may not face any inconvenience.
Directions were issued to the concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply, especially during Sehri and Iftar hours, cleanliness and strict monitoring of quality and rates of essential commodities.
He instructed all the Tehsildars to intensify market checking to keep check on overcharging of daily-use items like fruits and vegetables including poultry and mutton.
ADC directed the officers to ensure all possible facilitation and better amenities are provided to the people during the holy month of Ramadan.
CMO, Executive Engineers of various wings, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal, ARTO, DySP, Assistant Director, FCS&CA, Tehsildars and other district officers attended the meeting.
