Khansahib(Budgam)/April,11:-People’s Democratic Front ( PDF) on Sunday censured administration for it’s utter failure to redress day to day grievances of the people.
” Deep disconnect between  administration and common people has made  life of people  in jammu and kashmir miserable as they are unable to get their day to day problems and hardships heard and solved, ” Hakeem Yaseen said while speaking at a meeting of PDF workers from Parnewa ,Khansahib on Sunday. He said authorities at the helm of affairs aimlessly  hold meetings in cozy meeting halls to get cheap publicity in media, least bothering about implementation and action taken on the ground on various government decisions and announcements . “People’s grievances are getting aggravated each passing day which could be effectively redressed only through their elected representatives , Hakeem maintained while demanding early assembly elections in the JK Union Territory. He said early restoration of statehood and holding of assembly election was imperative to remove the prevailing socio- political uncertainty in jammu and kashmir. He said , in  absence of a civilian  government,  the  prevailing administrative inertia  whole of the  jammu and kashmir has been pushed to   wall on all socio- economic cum developmental fronts. He has enjoined upon the Center to fulfill its off repeated promises to restore statehood to jammu and kashmir as early as possible , which, he said was primarily essential to remove the prevailing disenchantment , alienation and mistrust among the people. ”  Sooner  the statehood was restored, the better it would be in the larger interests of the country,” Hakeem Yaseen reiterated. He has urged the Center to rise above petty political considerations and respect  the socio- political urges and aspirations of the people of jammu and kashmir so that  peace and tranquility was brought in this super sensitive border state.  ” Alienating and outraginig people for petty political gains was in no way in the interests of the country , ” PDF Chairman observed adding that those thinking on such lines were totally disillusioned. He said people with such mindset can never be saviours of the Nation.
Hakeem  has also urged the government to ensure availability of adequate essential supplies during the ensuing holly month of Ramadhan , with much focus on round the clock power, and drinking water supply. He urged for curbing profiteering and hoarding of essential commodities in the market with heavy hands. He said  skyrocketing prices of essential comodities should be streamlined through intensive and comprehensive  surveillance and market checking on daily basis.
