3 Kg Ganja recovered in Satwari Jammu,2 inter state drug peddlers arrested : Police

Jammu/April, 11: Police in Jammu on Sunday said that it has recovered 3 Kg Ganja and arrested two inter state drug peddlers.

A police statement issued on Sunday said that following  specific inputs regarding drug peddling, several nakas were laid at different locations by Jammu Police, adding that, one such naka which was led by SHO P/S Satwari Inspr. Nishant Gupta at Raipur Satwari where they rounded up two suspects namely Ishwar Banerjee S/o Jagat Ram R/o Pichpeddy Balodabajar and Rajinder Sahu S/o Khem Raj Sahu R/o Paperbhona Distt Balodabajar of Chattisgarh.    “On searches, 3 Kg of Ganja was recovered from their possession”, the police statement reads, adding that  “On this cognizance taken U/s 8/20/29 NDPS Act at P/S Satwari and the accused got arrested.Further investigation of the case is going on .

In the concluding of the above referred statement police said ” Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace. We request people of the area to come forward and share information about drug peddling or consumption on 9086100100 or 100 with Police for the cause. Your identity will be kept confidential”.
