28th Annual Football Championship concludes, JK Bank defeats Real Kashmir FC

Srinagar: The Final match of the ongoing 28th Annual Football Championship was played on 8th April 2021 at Synthetic Turf TRC between favourites Real Kashmir FC (R) & J&K Bank XI football teams in flood lights at 6:PM. It was an amazing experience for the players & the spectators. The match started with an aggressive note with both the teams trying hard to retain the title. The first half seemed to be virtually dominated by Real Kashmir FC. They made certain brilliant moves at the Goal but their attempts were foiled by Nirdoush the Goalkeeper of J&K Bank, who made some beautiful saves. Ist half score was 0:0. After the breather J&K Bank XI players swung into action and created problems for Real Kashmir FC & tried hard to break the ice and succeeded in converting a goal through Farhan. The excellent skill, Ball Control, & man to Man marking were the main features of the match which took the spectators by surprise. They appreciated both the teams & encouraged them. Real Kashmir FC made certain brilliant attacks but came close to level the score at various occasions but the tough & solid defence line of J&K Bank denied them the opportunities. Thus J&K Bank defeated Real Kashmir FC by a solitary Goal. Secretary Sports Council Ms Nuzhat Gul was the Chief Guest on the occasion & Shri R.K Chiber Chairman J&K Bank & Nuzhat Ara, Joint Secretary JKSC were the Guests of Honour. Shri Sandeep Chattoo, Iftikhar Lone, Dr. Zaffer Iqbal, Presidents & Secretaries of District Football Associations & JKFA Officials were also present on the Occasion, The Chief Guests distributed Prizes to the Winners & Runners-up Teams. Nirdoush of J&K Bank was declared as Man of the Match. 50 Teams/ Clubs from All Districts of Jammu & Kashmir participated in this Championship. The Championship was organized by JKFA & Sponsored by JKSC.
