DC Pulwama reviews Ramadhan arrangements

Pulwama: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary Friday reviewed the arrangements put in place by the district administration for the ensuing holy month of Ramadan at DC office Complex here.
The meeting held threadbare discussions regarding essential services like Water supply, Power, Ration and Security facilities and sought immediate measures for ensuring these besides improving sanitation and ensuring strict check on quality and rates of essentials.
The DDC directed the concerned departments to make adequate arrangements for providing better amenities to the people and intensify market checking to keep a check on overcharging in case of daily use ite
He also asked the concerned Officers of FCS&CA to ensure an adequate supply of ration during Ramadan. PDD and PHE departments were directed to ensure uninterrupted power and water supplies at Sehri and Iftar to avoid inconvenience to the people.
The DC also directed the concerned department to make proper arrangement of street lights in the town and make sure that dysfunctional lights are made functional. He asked the Municipal Corporation to intensify sanitation operations and ensure cleanliness in and around the mosques and shrines.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, Tral and Awantipora, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Medical Officer, EO MC, Ex. Engineers of PWD and PHE, AD FCS&CA besides other district and sectoral officers from various departments.
