DC Jammu reviews progress of Jamabandi writing, discusses issues related to minor mineral mining

Jammu: Deputy Commissioner, Anshul Garg Friday convened a meeting of revenue officers and field functionaries to review the progress of Jamabandis writing in the District.
ADC (Law and Order) Ghansham Singh; ACR Jammu, Vijay Kumar Sharma; Tehsildars, Naib-Tehsildars, Girdawars, Patwaris, besides other functionaries of Revenue department were present in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed detailed progress of documents, including writing of pending Jamabandies, status of mutations etc.
While reviewing the progress of writing Jamabandies, the DC directed the concerned to complete the exercise within the given timeline. He emphasized to expedite the up-dation process and scanning/ quality check of revenue records as per the targets.
The DC directed the concerned officer to speed up the pace of writing of pending jamabandis to achieve 100% target. He set a deadline for completing the pending jamabandis by or before April 30.
The Deputy Commissioner exhorted upon the officers and field functionaries to work as a team with closed coordination for better results and public service delivery to the people.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed issues related to mining clearance in some areas of the district at a meeting with the concerned officers. The DC directed them to conduct a joint inspection for the demarcation of allotted blocks to resolve the issues. He impressed upon the concerned officers to remove the bottlenecks, if any and make the blocks fully functional within 2 to 3 days.
