Budgam Police carries out a special drive against wrong parking

Srinagar: Budgam Police along with traffic police held a special drive against wrong parking in main town Budgam.
The special team was headed by DySP Hqrs Budgam Fayaz Hussain along with SHO PS Budgam and traffic police officers.
A police statement said “during the drive, action under law was taken against dozens of vehicles which were wrongly parked and against the shopkeepers/street vendors who had illegally encroached upon the space of the road for their business activities, thereby obstructing the smooth movement of traffic”. Stating that the mini buses and cabs which were operating from old Town Budgam were also shifted to new Bus Adda with the direction to strictly follow the norms and operate from new bus stand for smooth flow of traffic in and around town Budgam, police in the above referred statement quoted SSP Budgam as saying that traffic movement is everybody’s concern and people must co-operate with police and other authorities to ensure smooth flow of traffic in town Budgam.
