Jammu /April, 1: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday ordered transfer of Mir Afroz Special Secretary Department of Law, Parliamentary Affairs and posted him Director Public Relations and has been directed to report Principal Secretary Information and Public Relations who according to the order shall assign him the special task as Director Public Relations.
An order issued by General Administration Department reads, ” In the interest of administration, Mir Afroz, Special Secretary in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, is transferred and posted as Director, Public Relations, J&K. The officer shall report to the Principal Secretary to Government, Information Department, who shall assion specific tasks to him.
Further, the post of Director, Public Relations, New Delhi, is transferred to the Information Department, till further orders.”
Mir has held very important positions in Government in the past. For the first time in the administrative history of Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed a separate director for Public Relations in the Information department. So for Director Information use to hold the charge of both the Information and as well as Public Relations wings of the information department.
