Srinagar: The second phase of COVID 19 vaccination drive was on Tuesday started at SMC central office here at Karan Nagar.Commissioner SMC Athar Amir was the first among the SMC staff who received second vaccination shot on the occassion.Besides this Joint Commissioner Adm Syed Abul Qasim, Joint Commissioner Works, Ishtiyaq Ahmed Shah, S.E Drainage Mr Ahaaan ul Haq and other officials also got vaccinated on the occassion.
Commissioner SMC emphasized that the entire SMC staff including sanitary workers, field workers, ward officers and all other employees will be vaccinated for their safety and the safety of others too. Urging the people to continue adhering the COVID guidelines, Commissioner stressed everyone to wear masks and adhere to physical distancing norms and all COVID guidelines so that the vaccination drive is a successful to win the battle against COVID 19.Athar urged the attendees to reach out to the general public and disseminate authentic information about the COVID vaccination drive to make it smooth and effective
