B’ Pora: National Conference on Monday started its membership drive in North Kashmir from Bandipora district which was inaugurated by Parliament member Mohammad Akbar Lone at the party headquarters in Bandipora.
Akbar Lone said that the National Conference through this drive will spread the message of the party to each and every corner of the state.
Lone exhorted the workers to enroll more and more persons as members of the party. He said that membership drive was an opportunity to establish contact with a maximum number of people and to educate them about the policies and programmes of the party.
“It was the duty of the party workers to properly educate the people about the visionary policies and programmes of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah and the party,” Lone said.
He said the party represents the aspiration of all the sections of the society and all the regions. He added that NC is the only party which can and will safeguard the interest of the people and ensure that special status is never diluted.
Lone appealed to people to make the drive successful.
Lone on the occasion said that National Conference is a secular and democratic party and its policies and programmes are people friendly therefore people are eager to participate in launching the membership drive in Bandipora constituency as people are aware about the track record of National Conference.
He appealed to the people of the constituency to come forward and take active participation in the membership drive programme.
Among others present were Ex CMO Bandipora Dr Bilkees, former MLA Gurez Nazir Gurezi, DDC Chairman Ab Gani Bhat, District President NC Gh Rasool Naz, Begum Jan member Gujjar Bakerwal board and other workers of the party.
