MP Jugal Kishore reviews achievements under CSSs in Samba at DISHA meeting

Samba: Member Parliament, Jammu-Poonch Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma Monday chaired a meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee- ‘DISHA’ to review the physical and financial achievements under various centrally sponsored Schemes being implemented in Samba district.
Chairman District Development Council Keshav Dutt Sharma; Vice Chairman District Development Council Balwan Singh; District Development Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta; Senior Superintendent of Police Rajesh Sharma; Additional District Development Commissioner, Rachana Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer, besides other district officers of Social Welfare, PDD, PHE, PWD, Education, member of DISHA, Sarpanches, Member of civil society, and other prominent persons were also present.
A detailed powerpoint presentation on the achievements & progress of Centrally sponsored schemes and status of various ongoing developmental projects was given in the beginning of the review meeting by the District Development Commissioner.
The details of the achievements of MGNREGA, MUDRA, PMGSY, PMAY-G, NRLM, PMUJ, PMKSY, PMUY, SAUBHAGYA, IWMP, Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen, Ayushman Bharat, ICDS, Social Welfare were given. The DDC apprised the MP about the action taken report on the decisions taken in the previous meeting of DISHA. She also informed about the number of works completed under MGNREGA, Jal Shakti, horticulture and others sectors which includes, water conservation and water harvesting, micro irrigation works, flood control and protection of various ponds, check dams, vermi compost units have been developed.
While giving details on the Centrally sponsored schemes, it was informed that under PMAY(G), PMGSY 100%, expenditure, SBM-G 96% expenditure, NHM 85% expenditure, Samagra Shiksha 79% expenditure has been achieved. Under SBM-G 935 IHHL, 30 Community Sanitary complexes have been constructed, while 88 houses has been completed under PMAY-U.
Giving details about the Roads and Building sector, it was informed that against 10 CRF schemes with sanctioned cost Rs 155.89 crore and 63 PMGSY roads 2 schemes and 46 roads have been completed, respectively. Under Sauvhagya scheme, 11451 households have been electrified, while MDM(Dry Ration), textbooks, study materials were distributed at doorsteps of students during lockdown.
Similarly, under Ujwala Yojana, 23373 gas connections were provided. The details of achievements under PMSBY, PMJJBM, PMMY, PMJDY and Atal pension Yojana were also given.
The MP appreciated the achievements and progress attained by the district administration in various central sponsored schemes. He instructed the concerned functionaries to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach to the last eligible beneficiary in the district. The idea of doorstep governance can only be achieved if all the officers work collectively with servitude outlook, added the MP. He also stressed on creating mass awareness about the Central Sponsored Schemes for their effective implementation at the grassroots level.
Meanwhile, the MP also assessed the action taken report on the directions issued during previous DISHA meeting. He enquired about detailed report of Samba-Sumb road, Ring Road, construction of AIIMS, new Community Halls in blocks under MPLAD, details of Purmandal-Utterbeni tourist hub besides other works of roads, electricity, water and other proposed projects.
