Baramulla/March,29 : A councilor and a policeman were on Monday killed in Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district . Another councilor was injured in the attack.
IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, said“A councilor Riyaz Ahmad and one policeman Shafqat Ahmad were killed in a militant attack.” Police in a brief statement said “militants fired at Municipal Office Sopore. In this incident, police personnel Shafqat Ahmad and councilor Riyaz Ahmad were killed.”The forces have been deployed in the area following an attack. Another councilor Shams-ud-din Peer has sustained serious injuries in the attack.
