Khansahib (Budgam):- Hakeem Mohammed Yaseen the Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic front (JK PDF) has described the thaw in India-Pakistan relations a good omen for restoration of peace and tranquility in the sub continent especially in jammu and kashmir , which is the first casualty of animosity between the two neighbouring countries. He has urged for opening of all the possible channels of dialogue and reconciliation to improve strained relations between the two neighbouring countries and to remove the prevailing mistrust .
Addressing a party workers convention at Hardpamzoo Khansahib in central district Budgam on Saturday Hakeem welcomed the recent statements from the leadership of both the neighboring countries of India and Pakistan for developing coardial relations. He has urged the need for more Confidence Building Measures ( CBM) to remove mistrust and build confidence between India and Pakistan which , he said, was imperative for taking the much needed peace process ahead on sustained basis. He has urged the need for taking more initiatives to normalise ties between the two nations to ensure lasting peace in the region.
PDF Chairman has urged the need for resolution of all the outstanding issues including vexed kashmir Imbroglio between India and Pakistan through meaningful dialogue and reconciliation. He said kashmir issue was the main bone of contention between the two neighboring countries which needs to be resolved amicably through peaceful means while taking all the stakeholders on board. He said People of Jammu and Kashmir are the worst hit by Indo-Pak hostility and turmoil in the region. He said people of jammu and kashmir are yearning for Peace with dignity which could be possible only after the much needed improvement in the Indo-Pak relations . He said the recent ceasefire has come as a divine blessing to thousands of border residents living on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir, who were the first casualty of Indo-Pak border shelling and animosity.
Hakeem also slammed the Jammu and kashmir Government for ignoring rural areas of Budgam especially Khansahib area in all most all the developmental sectors. He has sought personal intervention of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for execution of Mini Hydle Power Projects at Nallah Sukhnag and Nallah Shaliganga in Khansahib constituency on priority basis adding that DPRs for both these power projects have been approved since a decade ago. He also demanded development of Tossamaidan – Doodgpathri- Yusmarg tourist circuit on priority basis to explore the huge tourism potential of these virgin tourist destinations. “Development of the tourist circuit would open new opportunities of livelihood and employment for the local populace especially youth , ” Hakeem Yaseen added. He said construction of mini Hydle power projects and development of the Tossamaidan-Doodhpathri – Yusmarg tourist circuit would certainly bring alround socio- economic transformation in the area.
