Marathon reaches every nook and corner of the city: Mayor JMC

Radio Marathon by RJ Juhie concludes at Bahu Plaza

Jammu: Three day long Radio Marathon by RJ Juhie to promote the campaign “Be A Swachhta Hero” – Let’s Make Jammu Better organised by Jammu Municipal Corporation and 92.7 BIG FM concluded here Wednesday at Bahu Paza, Jammu. On the concluding day, various prominent dignitaries like Chander Mohan Gupta (Mayor, JMC), Ms. Babila Rakwal (VC, Jammu Development Authority), Vikram Randhawa (EX-MLC), Dheeraj Jandial (Chief accounts officer, JMC), Sandeep Sharma (Dy. Dir. Planning), Dr. Sushil Kumar Sharma (Municipal veterinary officer), Sana Dua (Femina Miss India 2017), Tina Gupta (Secretary JMC) etc. came to witness the effort made by 92.7 BIG FM with the help of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta while sharing his views shares that Swachhta campaign by BIG FM proved very helpful in creating awareness and so many wards have also won award of the week challenge as part of Swachhta sarvekshan..JMC and BIG FM have done great work to make this campaign reach to every nook and corner of the city and we need support of every citizen to make this successful.
While sharing her views VC JDA Babila Rakwal emphasised on the fact that we all citizens of Jammu need to provide feedback in the Swachtta App to make Jammu’s rank better in the Swachta ranking.
Sana Dua while addressing the august gathering out there in Bahu Plaza asked everyone to come forward to make our city like in European Countries.
Vikrant Sharma J&K Head 92.7 BIG FM while talking to public told about the work which 92.7 BIG FM is doing since its inception. He shared that we are not limited to only radio but also make it a point to work for the every social activity. 92.7 BIG FM since its inception has always been kind to work on social causes and this time they have joined hands with Jammu Municipal Corporation. The initiative of 92.7 BIG FM was started on 4th February, 2021 and took it to educational institutions and public places. RJ Juhie has started it with the same theme to motivate the folks living out here in Jammu.
The main idea of the three day long campaign is to motivate people for waste segregation and keep the city clean and also participate in the ongoing ‘Swachhta Survekshan’ to improve Jammu’s ranking. The campaign was inaugurated by Avny Lavassa, IAS, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation who also heard the public grievances.
Large number of people thronged at Bahu Plaza for the campaign alongwith the number of dignitaries who paid a visit to support the cause and took pledge to participate in the survey for a better Jammu.
The team of 92.7 BIG FM who has made it a grand success include Vikrant Sharma J&K Head and Siddharth Mahajan Station Head Jammu, RJ Rahul and other members of 92.7 BIG FM.
