Srinagar:Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce Rajan Prakash Thakur Friday visited the upcoming Industrial Estates (IEs) at Pulwama. During the visit he was accompanied by Director, Industries and Commerce, Kashmir, Nazim Zai Khan, MD SIDCO, Harun Malik , MD SICOP.
At Industrial Estate Wuyan, the Principal Secretary directed MD SICOP to complete all civil works. He also directed him to ensure power supply facility within 6 months so that the units shall become functional as early as possible.
He instructed that process for acquisition of land of JK Mineral adjacent to Industrial Estate, Wuyan should be started at the earlies.
Earlier, he visited Sempora, Srinagar where 371 kanals of land have been transferred to the department and took stock of various developmental works that have been planned at the site.
On the occasion, Principal Secretary directed the representative from NBCC (India) limited to construct the IT Tower with maximum utility of land and expand it vertically with multiple floors having state of art building structure which would maintain its stature for years together and provide maximum employment to people.
During his visits, Thakur started plantation drive at both the locations by planting the saplings of Chinar and Pine trees.
General Manager, District Industries Centre, Srinagar, Tazayun Mukhtar Kawos, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Pulwama, Dr Zahoor Ahmed Magray and General Manager (K) SIDCO were also present on the occasion.
