Hajin:Government Degree College, Hajin organized a valedictory function for week long International Women’s Day Celebration on 20-03-2021. Various activities were held to mark the occasion under the theme “I Choose to Challenge”. The valedictory function was chaired by the Principal of the college Prof Huda Galzai. Mr. Irtiza Hakak presented the key note address various students, faculty members and non teaching staff members expressed their views on Gender Discrimination and problems of women. Principal of the college presented concluding remarks. Dr. Falak Fayrooz conducted the proceedings and vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Asmat.
Regarding the week details of the week long activities on 15th march poster competition was held on the theme “Mujay Jeene ka Haq Chahiye”. On 17th March Essay writing competition was held on the theme “Problems of women in the contemporary society”. On 18th March A Group discussion and brain storming session was held with the students on the theme “Understanding Gender Differences and Gender Inequality”.
The function was concluded with distribution of Certificates among the winners. For Poster competition Suriya Mushtaq, Masrat Bano and Heena Majeed stood 1st 2nd and 3rd respectively. For Essay competation Bisma Khan, Aalia Jan, and Kulsuma Akbar stood 1st 2nd and 3rd respectively. Among the student speakers Suriya Mushtaq Umer Akbar and Heena Majeed bagged 1st 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
