Campaign on Water conservation held at Shopian

Shopian :A massive campaign on water conservation was Thursday held across the district with the involvement of Jal Shakti and other concerned departments.
The campaign was started in connection with ongoing World Water Week. During the campaign the audience was made aware about the importance of fresh-water and the need to save the precious gift of nature.
It was informed in the meeting that under Jal Jeevan Mission every household would get tap supply in the district and for this purpose several measures are being taken.
The District Administration Shopian is celebrating the week with great enthusiasm to sensitize the public and the officers alike regarding the importance of water conservation.
The audience was asked to actively participate in such campaigns and play a constructive role in water conservation and preservation.
Among others, Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Division Shopian, Ex. Engineer Public Health Engineering Shopian, Officers/Officials of PHE and other concerned were present on the occasion.
