Srinagar: The North Zone Chapter of 28th Annual Football Championship kick started on Wednesday at Synthetic Turf Ground Srinagar. The first match was played between DFA Zone Rafiabad And DFA Bandipora XI. The match was balanced in the beginning but later Bandipora boys scored four goals in quick succession. It was towards the dying movement of the second half that Zone Rafiabad XI scored a marvellous goal. Thus DFA Bandipora defeated Zone Rafiabad XI by four goals to one. The second match was played between DFA Zone Hajin XI & DFA Zone Pattan. Both the teams played quality Football & enthralled the audience with their magnificent ball control & man to man marking. Zone Hajin XI scored Ist goal in the Ist half of the game. Zone Pattan tried hard to equalize and they succeeded in the 87th minut of the game. Thus the match ended with 1:1 goal draw. In tie breaker Zone Pattan XI won by 4: 3.

In the South Chapter of Annual Championship played at Sports stadium Anantnag,DFA Ganderbal defeated DFA Budgam XI in sudden death tie breaker by 3-2 . The Tournament is organized by JKFA & Sponsored by JKSC.
