Own Me, Death

Death, you always play games with me:
In just a blink of an eye, you are so close to me;
and as I close my eyes, spread my arms, to hug you, you are nowhere,
not anywhere felt, gone.
Leaving me in this pain, a friend now.
But a cruel friend. Why?
What have I done that even after urging you to hold me tight just for sometime,
and give me the first and the last kiss,
which you have been offering others like me for ages now,
you are so unwilling?
It’s paining: I ain’t, my life, robust enough to escape from the clutches of pain. Stuck!
What will I have to do, death, death-angel, my lord, my love, to defeat this torment?
To slaughter my senses?
To put an end to every damn thing that kills me every passing minute, second?
You hear my voices, death, voices in voices, horrible voices, and quiet voices,
many times, most of the times,
but you don’t comfort me!
With what eyes are you seeing me write my ‘longing’ for you,
My love for you?
You: the only saviour — the only God — now.
Will you accept me?
Have I told you, my dear, before that I can just make you sit here across from me, do the stuff?
Doesn’t matter.
Then remembering those innocents?
But (and) I won’t go that way.
I just wish you to come here smiling;
With no pre-conceived notion of leaving me in an instant.
Let this drunk see your bright face for sometime;
Approach me, my moon, like that innocent girl walking towards her prince charming slowly and happily
And spread your soft cold hands over my body
And suck my soul away.
That I have always wanted from you.
No blaming on you, death, no worries, for taking me away so soon.
Haven’t I told you before?
Ain’t I telling you now?
You just do the stuff.
When is the day?
When is the hour?
When the moment?
When the golden second?
When will you understand me?
My wanting to have a few touches and the first and the last hug from u?
I am waiting. Own me.

“Miraj, the Belief that Strengthens Imaan”
Bazila Farooq
Quran says ” Glory to Him Who made his servant travel by night from the sacred place of worship to the furthest place of worship, whose surrounding we have blessed to show him some of our signs. He is all alone hearing, all seeing”. All the events and episodes that happened in the holy night of the year 621AD have a significant, physical and spiritual importance. It is not only the journey but the part of Imaan which every believer must believe. Although from Islamic perspective the journey has been made to occupy two different aspects, one being the ‘Isra’ which is actually the part of journey of Prophet(PBUH) from Mecca to Jerusalem and the second most is the journey of Prophet (PBUH) on Buraq(Bright winged like baby horse) to witness the heavens, hell and skies. The second part of the journey has its own importance as it holds the significant part of the whole journey which started from meeting of Prophet Mohammad(PBUH) with earlier Prophets, talking with them, the all smiles from Heaven and cries from the hell and most importantly the direct talk of Prophet (PBUH) with Allah(SWT). Mohammad (PBUH) ascended with Angel Gabriel and covered all the episodes starting from sighting of those who had all the fate in heaven followed by those who were crying louder to go back and start believing in what Allah (SWT) and Prophet(PBUH) had said .Those people who were crying louder were people from the hell and off course Prophet(SAW) mentioned about them to Gabriel and He was told about them as to why they had this fate.
Even our holy book The QURAN and HADITH( authentic sayng the prophet) clearly mentioned about Miraj and conclude with a message that a regular five times prayer along with navafil (voluntarly prayers) are indispensable to lift our righteousness. Observing the five prayers in time and on all the days is a hidden nectar. May Allah guide me and all the readers on the right path
According to the Islamic tradition, Prophet(PBUH) was instructed that muslims must pray fifty times, the obligatory prayers in a day. However Prophet Musa(may Allah has his mercy on him) urged Mohammad(PBUH) to ask for reduction and for the sake of his ummah. Prophet (PBUH)went back nine times to reduce them to five in a day. However prophet Musa (AS) told Prophet(PBUH) ro ask even for fewer as I believe that your ummah will not stand up even for these five. In reply Prophet (PBUH) felt that he is very thankful for five I(5) in a day. Some Islamic scholars believed that opening of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) heart (chest) was a cleaning ritual that purified Mohammad(PBUH) before he ascended to heaven. Muhammad(PBUH)chest was opened and pured with water of zam zam. When someone reads all the events and episodes,he ends up and finding himself believing that indeed Prophet Mohammad (SAW) is Allah’s most beloved last messenger and for the sake of him we are here and Allah(SAW)has created the universe, the stars,the moon and the skies.I have tried to put up few episodes that happened in the night of MIRAJ and i do believe that if people read all the episodes and events rationally they will definitely fell in love with Islam and Prophet(SAW). The final message that many of the islamic scholars enclosed from the chapter of Miraj was “Belief in Miraj is one of the fundamentals. Islamic faith”.
