Kishtwar: Social Welfare Department, Kishtwar and Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) Friday organised a Medical assessment camp for specially abled persons under Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) scheme here at TRC Chatroo.
Over 150 disabled persons were examined by ALIMCO team in presence of Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Chatroo Rajesh Kumar Sharma. The team identified 77 PwDs who will be provided free of cost prosthetic Aids as per their need in near future.
In the said assessment camp the differently abled persons were also made aware about the Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign and various other welfare schemes run by the Department for them.
Scores of prominent persons of the area including Sarpanches, Panchs also marked their presence on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Social Welfare Department is organising similar Camps at District Social Welfare Office Kishtwar and BDO office Drabshalla on 13-03-2021 and 14-03-2021, respectively.
