Srinagar: Expressing shock over the alleged attack on West Bengal (WB) Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during election campaign on Wednesday, President of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti said her best wishes for her campaign and early recovery.
The attack on Trinmool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata shows the hatred and division that has possessed this country, former chief Minister Mehbooba said.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter vice president of the Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) said, “Shocked by the reprehensible attack on @MamataOfficial at an election rally today. Shows the hatred & division that has possessed this country. My best wishes for her campaign & hope she recovers soon”.
PAGD is alliance of about six mainstream political parties formed to fight to restoration of special status of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state which was abrogated by the centre on August 5, 2019 after all leaders, including three former CMs, former minister and legislators were detained.
