Anantnag: The District Programme office, ICDS, in collaboration with Chief Education office Wednesday felicitated the students who had participated in various online competitions at Town Hall, here.The competitions were held in essay writing, poetry, drawing and painting.
The ceremony was presided over by Programme Officer ICDS, Bilkeesa Jan and attended by concerned officers of ICDS, Education, officials of District Level Centre for Women and a large number of students.
Apprising the gathering about the ‘BBBP’ scheme, the Programme Officer said that the aim of the programme is to educate and empower the Girl Child besides recognizing her vital contribution in the society.
She also called on the officers and the audience to ensure that a conducive atmosphere is provided to the girls so that they express themselves at all fora.The participants of the said competitions were awarded mementos, trophies and certificates.Besides, colourful cultural programmes were also presented on the occasion.
