DGP sanctions financial assistance of over Rupees 4.32 crore for 451 police personnel

DGP sanctions Rs.63 lakh sanctions as Spl relief, loan for NoKs of deceased, serving cops & SPOs

Jammu: Director General of Police Dilbag Singh has sanctioned over Rupees 4.32 crore welfare loan, relief in favour of 451 officers and personnel of J&K Police vide Police Headquarters order number 888 of 2021.
A police statement issued on Monday said “ Rs 90 lakh has been sanctioned in favour of 102 personnel to meet the expenses of self-treatment or for treatment of their dependents”, adding that “ welfare loan given for the treatment purpose varies from Rs 50000 to rupees 200000”, Rupees one lakh each has been sanctioned in favour of 317 personnel for their own marriage, and marriage of sons/daughters”.
Stating that loan of Rs one lakh each has been sanctioned in favour of 19 police personnel for higher education of their wards, the police in it’s above referred statement also said “Rs 50 thousands each have been sanctioned in favour of 13 persons for performing rituals like circumcision/mundan of their wards”, adding that “among102 personnel who have been given welfare loan for the treatment purpose, rupees 350000 has been sanctioned as welfare relief in favour of twenty personnel. The welfare relief ranges from rupees 10000 to rupees 25000 which is non refundable”.
Saying that the welfare loan sanctioned to the Police personnel is refundable and will be recovered in monthly installments from their salaries without any interest, the police in it’s above referred statement also said “the amount has been sanctioned out of the Central Police Welfare Fund”.
