G’bal4: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal in presence of President Municipal Council Ganderbal, Altaf Ahmad Lone Thursday inaugurated the link road from District Hospital Ganderbal to Qazi Complex Beehama.
While inaugurating the link road, the DC dedicated the said road to local people of the district and appreciated the efforts of the Municipal Council Ganderbal for developing the road within the minimum time period.
Pertinently, the 1 Km. link road is developed by the Municipal Council Ganderbal at minimum cost by engaging its men and machinery within the bare minimum time. The road shall remain one side open for light vehicles till it is fully developed.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said the road will be instrumental in decongesting the main market Ganderbal and Beehama Chowk where traffic jams remain for hours during the peak time.
After inaugurating the road, the DC inspected the road stretch and gave necessary directions to the President Municipal Council for further development of the road and assured that in coming time the road will be upgraded for two way traffic.
