Srinagar: A young government school teacher died due to heart attack in north Kashmir district of Kupwara, official sources said.
They said Zahoor Ahmad Dar, resident of Trehgam, Kupwara suffered a massive heart attack at his home Tuesday night. Zahoor, a government school teacher was immediately rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
He is survived by his mother, wife and two children.
Only yesterday a young mason died due to heart attack in Bandipora.
Over 50 persons, mostly youths, including security force personnel, have died due to heart attack in winter this year. The expert have failed to ascertain the cause of increase in heart attacks in the valley.
However, Doctor Association Kashmir (DAK) president Dr Nissar ul Hassan has warned that due to severe cold conditions in winter people having heart ailment have to take extra precautions. He has said heart attacks could increase due to below freezing temperature.
