Srinagar/March,1 : Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association has appointed Shantmanu a senior IAS officer and former Chief Electoral officer of erstwhile Jammu & Kashmir state “ Electoral Officer” for conducting elections to it’s apex council and Chief Executive Officer thereof.
An order issued by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) a copy of which lies with ” Kashmir Horizon” reads “I, S A H Bukhari-IPS (Retd) , Chief Executive Officer Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), appoints Shantmanu –IAS, former Chief Election Commissioner/State Election Commissioner of erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir as Electoral Officer in terms of rule 32 of the rules and regulations of JKCA for conducting the election of it’s Apex Council in accordance with the aforesaid rules and Regulations”.
The order further said “Appointed Electoral Officer may like to issue the election program at his earliest convenience, so that the election process may complete by the end of April 30th, 2021. This has the approval of the Division Bench of J&K High Court appointed Committer Of Administrators (COA’s) JKCA”
