Results out: 75 percent qualify 10th standard exams, Girls outshine boys

Srinagar: The Board of School Education (BOSE) on Friday declared annual regular results of 10th standard with an overall pass percentage of 75 percent. Reports said girl students have outshined boys in the exams. Among the total of pass percentage includes 74.04 percent in boys and 76.09 percent among girl students.
BOSE said that a total of 75,132 candidates were enrolled for the exams in which 56,384 successfully qualified it while 18,626 candidates failed to qualify the 10th class examination.
“In private schools of Kashmir division, at least 89.82 percent students qualified the examination and in government institutions, 62.76 percent qualified it,” BOSE said.
Stating the overall performance of the candidates, BOSE said that of total candidates appeared in the examination, 9421 registered Grade-A1 followed by 11,347 candidates with Grade-A2, 11,050 students recorded Grade-B1, 10,974 Grade-B2, 9239 got Grade-C1, 4239 students recorded Grade-C2 and 114 students have registered Grade-D.
It also said that in the exams, dispute eligibility was in 42 students enrolled for the exams, 12 students were caught with unfair means, twelve students were disqualified for one year and two students were disqualified for two years respectively, examination was cancelled of 43 students and subject was cancelled of 513 students
