Police in Srinagar , Kulgam tribute DySP Aman Kumar Thakur on his 2nd death anniversary

Srinagar: Police in Srinagar & Kulgam on Wednesday tribute DySP Aman Kumar Thakur who was killed on February 24 in an encounter at Turigam Kulgam.
A police statement issued on Wednesday said “ the commemoration parade was organized at District Police Lines Kulgam and floral wreaths were laid at the memorial as a mark of respect for his sacrifices”. Speaking on the occasion, I/C SSP Kulgam Mohd Yousuf, according to the statement said that the officer sacrificed his life in the line of duty while fighting militants in an encounter and that his commitment and devotion towards professional obligations shall always be remembered.
“Similarly, Srinagar Police also organized a memorial function at District Police Lines Srinagar in the memory of r DySP Aman Kumar Thakur”, adding that “In this regard a memorial function was held at DPL Srinagar, which was presided over by SSP Srinagar Dr. M. Haseeb Mughal”. Paying tributes to Dy SP Aman Thkure, SSP Srinagar, according to the above referred police statement said that the sacrifice of the officer can never be forgotten as he has laid down his life for the restoration of peace and harmony in the valley.SSP Srinagar paid floral tributes to DySP Aman Kumar Thakur. SSP Srinagar was flanked by the officers of the District Srinagar and Budgam.
